What's your opinion on Violent video games? Do you think they cause kids to do violent things? I'm doing a article on the subject and would appreciate your opinion thanks!

I don't think videogames make kids violent more than television or action movies. Unfortunately, videogames industry is a scapegoat for dishonest politicians. Furthermore, this industry can be the source of income for attorneys like Jack Thompson: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jack_Thompson_%28activi...
Thankfully for USA, their Supreme Court admitted that videogames are art, their rights are regulated by the First Amendment of the Constitution, therefore no age restrictions are forced by law for videogames.

Yaroslav, yeah that's what I am going to mention the funny thing about is that the supreme court of the USA made a decision which said that movies are not art and can cause evil back in 1915 when they were first starting out. It's very similar to the debate over games right now, though I was not familiar with Jack Thompson before thanks for pointing that out!

Violence in video games is rather crude , kind of cartoon-like , it bears no relation to real life. Millions of people all over the world play them and remain absolutely peaceful and harmless.
